Operation Christmas Child:

For the last six years, the congregation of St. John’s has participated in the national outreach program called Operation Christmas Child. OCC (as it is known) is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse. Each year, congregations around the country buy presents to fill shoe boxes for boys and girls from ages 0-14. The boxes are packed by the church members, collected and then distributed to needy children all over the world. Boxes packed by members of St. John’s have been sent to the Republic of the Congo, the country of Chad, Angola, and Burkina Faso. This has become a tradition at St. John’s, and we invite everyone to join in the fun.
