Diocese of Brasilia

In the summer of 2019, a small group of church members traveled to Brazil with the Reverend Patricia Powers. Rev. Pat was a long time missionary to Brazil. While in Brazil St. John’s members were introduced to an outreach program run by the Anglican Diocese of Brazil and overseen by Bishop Maurico Jose De Andrade. Our mission team was able to tour the school that was run by the church in the slum area of Pedregal. Since that time, St. John’s has raised money to support the mission school and the many important programs it offers to local children in the area.
